Members have the ability to delete their own account if they so wish. This feature was added on 17 December 2013 (see update #35 for details). What this means is that staff will not comply with account removal requests in normal cases. Members are expected to go through the steps required for account removal themselves. Exceptions can be made fully at staff discretion. This is to prevent possible abuse that might arise in the event of a compromised account.
To delete your account, please head over to your user control panel. First, click "Settings" on the grey navigation bar:
Then scroll down until you see this option:
A confirmation code and details on the steps you need to follow through will be sent to your email inbox. Please make sure you have a functioning email address tied to your account, and don't forget to check your spam/junk folder if the confirmation email still hasn't arrived after some time.
Please be aware that this feature is only available to normal, registered users. Staff members and uploaders are exempt from being able to delete their account on their own. If you are a staff member or an uploader wishing to delete your account, you will need to be demoted to regular member position first. Please contact an administrator to walk you through the process.
