PS4 are typically priced in the $400 to $500 range, and blockbuster game titles hit the market at $60 each.

All the power in the world and the money too.... and with todays tech (8 core processors gddr 5 ram....) and we still can't get out of 32 bit gaming :V It's not new!!! It's just a souped up ps2. :rage:

as we know we cant play ps3,ps2,ps1 game in ps4... i dont know what will happen in the future...

psp, psx and ps2 is the only they did right.... but still I'll let the ps4 come out and see what reviews come in. <---- that's the only way to decide wether or not it's worth getting.

But if it doesn't have support for the older gen playstations... the public may cry out for changes.

no backward compatibility. that's disappointing. i'm really not looking forward to the next gen consoles

I saw the unveil and was pretty impressed by the graphics system, which almost looked life-like. But a lot of the games are just spin-offs of already popular Playstation series.

As Second has said, it does not support playback of any of the past Playstation console games, so anything from PS3, PS2, PSX is useless for a PS4. This is what I believe to be a bad move by Sony because their most revolutionizing games were on these past consoles.

I believe they intended the ps4 to bring about a new age in console gaming i.e. like completely immersive gaming potentials. with what I saw with their big reveal you can fairly assume that they intend to push gaming towards that. also there seems to be a potential to create your own game scenarios and characters. so basically it won't be something that would replace a PS3 or PS2/1 for that matter, its an entirely different console. but there is still a possibility to include playback on future releases. i mean the PS Vita wasn't intended to have playback capabilities with the PSP but now there is.

I'm barely into playing the PS3 when the PS4 is going to come out soon? I honestly don't care anymore, I won't buy anything when it comes out. These days it's a liability to buy a launch console, because of all the bugs and errors that might come with it.

so they say it'll stream some older ps games, but I doubt it's everything ever made. but I mean, they could have at least let ps3 games played, absolutely no excuses for that x-x ps3 I could understand just fine why they did that, oh wellll.
The one interesting thing about it is the cross-device availability it has. but I'm sure it'll cost something.
I think that older systems might become rare/collectables one day and the ps3/ps4 might be considered a plague XD
at least there's emulators x-x get a good comp and a person that knows how to do it, play ps2/ps1 stuff.
I plan to use swapmagic sometime since it sounds promising :o get a newer ps2 and that'll be my slim lol.

backward compatibility has been confirmed using streaming, Im eager to see what naughty dog and sony santa monica can do with this new hardware, it should be impressive.
