As discussed here before, this poll will determine which will be the new background for the forum. I'll be listing the candidates and how they will look on various monitor resolutions (click on the thumbnail to view the image in full size), as well as brief details about the pictures.

It's more like...FSZ is known to pretty much all due to having anime while all other entries are considerably more minor (other than Hoshikaka, but when was the last time you heard of anyone talk about the anime) orz

From my office PC, the background picture is the loli in Santa dress, the same one we used for 2011 Christmas.

Too much ecchi, the options aren't very balanced :f some themes would be nice too. I also recommend keeping the word "sharing" in mind, which if the background looks very sad/emo, it would give the wrong impression X_x

Since I've been asked about this many times, I'll publicly clarify the matter just this once.

I've done my part and handed what needs to be done to Checkmate.

I don't have access for the CDN back-end. All that's left is for him to do his part.

Yes. It's only a matter of getting around to putting the changes into effect.

This, however, is still a site support thread. Please refrain from posting too much irrelevant stuff.

wow I didin't know you will change the background , I actually hoped there will be some changes. The backgound gets boring when people see it 600 times a day and the background is not really alive O_O if you know what I mean

Hmm Lol I dont know whats so intresting bout the Saber wallpaper it's kindof dead to me .....and the artwork isint the most detailed looks like painted with water paints I vted for the first one for me it looks the best By the way

Taking into consideration that it's been this long since the new background was decided on, we're looking into delivering a new custom skin with possibly interchangeable backgrounds (not from the user's end; it just means if we succeed we may be able to switch backgrounds every once in a while).

Now, because this obviously means more work and possibly endless clashes of ideas, I'm afraid I can't make promises on ETA yet.

I like the number 7, but if the BG didn't have the things it has on the superior left corner i guess it would be perfect.

This has probably been mentioned before, but I'd just like to say I voted for Rin & Saber primarily because it's an image that works well with how the screen is set up.

I hardly spend much time at all at the top of the pages, so there's very little value in having the emphasis of the image top and center. But I do look at the sides as I scroll through threads, and with the current background, I only get to see some skirt and some blue.

With Rin & Saber, I'm hoping I'll be able to see them instead.

If this all makes sense, can I suggest similar "split" images be sourced for future backgrounds? Just a suggestion.
