I use spoilers when a picture is NSFW or if the picture size is really big.

Spoilers delay the loading of the picture, so the rest of the web page loads first, then the picture. It keeps web browsers from slowing down. Also for people that have bad internet (like me).

2. Large images are automatically resized, so size doesn't matter.
