ul.to is solid, but as they themselves stated no US interaction whatsoever, which in a sense limits and in a sense does not. As they have stated that the majority base they have is not US based, it does not hurt them in the least to drop it. There are a bunch of others doing the same, but that at the same time showcases that the SOPA / PIPA acts did not need to pass anywhere in order for its effect to be shown. Extraditing creators etc is a major step, one that also could violate international law. But they are targeting those countries in direct connection with US laws etc.

I was going to get a depositfiles account, just to hold me over, but at the same time all of these companies will probably just hand over every users information to please regulators / government / police. Not a place anyone ever wants to be.

Damn... Just got back from my holiday and a lot have happened???
Sorry for the loss coro... Hope everything will be fine in a couple of months time
(^_^; )

Share, Winny and torrents are so far OK; of course the main problem is that the sources/seeders of the file must be active...

Well Corocoro, FileFactory seems to be working fine for now. Slow is better than not having anything work. So it should be used as you are using it =D

Thanks for it.

Oh and, Extabit seems to give problems if using an adblocker. So that one isn't very good at all mate. It refuses to show the captcha properly.

Dunno if FileServe is still closing down or not.
But for now, they have turned sharing back on.

Not sure how long its gonna last though.
May be to good to be true.

Almost all tlds under verisign legislation can be shut off at will, the US controls these.

All hosts have some assets in the US as well, it's the land of cheap bandwidth, what do you expect?

Hell, our own cdn assets as well as the proxy-cdns are US based.

A domain being taken over won't stop these guys, so stop worrying and keep it up ._.;

It was pretty obvious to happen anyway. Eventually here it is.

the usable host for now is Uploaded and Deposit File, well some people are back using Hotfile program

it can be seen from this graphic by torrentfreak
traffic-spike.jpg

Won't be surprised if the stuff being uploaded to those now-popular hosts gets deleted quickly... I think it'll be a couple months until things have normalized, and who knows when this will repeat itself. I hope the one thing everyone can take away from this is how inefficient it is to keep reuploading rather than torrenting. But it's probably more about money than efficiency

well.... if you looked back at 2004... torrent that time was count as crime, this is one of a reason why we didn't always do torrenting.

and one more thing... torrent will eventually died if the seeders are gone! you can't expect a re-seed!

and it's not just about money! i mean sure money has a big deal of it. but that's not only it! if it's all about money, people will just uploading adult movie instead of eroge or anime!
