Broken font in a Visual Novel

Hi,

Soc I've wanted to play the fandisc of Kono Oozora ni, Tsubasa wo Hirogete. I downloaded and installed the game and then used the nodvd patch provided. Opened, menu and config looked perfectly fine, then I went to actual game and saw this monstrosity

Anyone idea how to fix this? I tried googling but nobody seem to have the same problem.
