I'll have to move Fukou no Kami up my "to play" list. The premise as written on VNDB - something about the MC replacing a god - seems a bit wtf, but if the game's in the same tier as Anekoi then it must be worth playing.

It's very good. Probably the reason it doesn't get talked about is because it's so old and other things have eclipsed it. There are a few really good twists that can leave less-bastardly players pretty crushed, so the NTR feels are real. The profag in that game really has a hard time of it. Also, the art is more standard compared to Anekoi, which while good, looks a mess.

Elf, man. Fucking Elf.

ELF is love. ELF is life. Only complaint about Maro is that it's too happy and good feelsy. Needs moar NTR. But that's mostly because I know that that company is capable of and want them to open the floodgates.

What other Elf games you can recommend? I've been interested on Biniku no Kaori (it's rated higher than Boku Gatenkei on vndb, i know rating is not really dependable) for a long time. I heard Maro games aren't finished yet, do you think it's better to wait after all 4 games are out or play 2 games first?

Man, I really want them to stop shitting around and make another Marina game. When you know what they *can* do and are stuck with what they usually do, it's all the more painful.

Biniku no Kaori is good, but like Ningen Debris, it's not quite on the same level as Gatenkei. But it's a plot-driven story that's fairly well told. The NTR in it is somewhat lacking due to how the story plays out, but a first playthrough is sure to be exciting, and the rest of the story is surely worth it if you have a more general interest in h-games.

ELF is a very old company with quite a lot of games, but some of their other NTR-related ones are 若妻万華鏡(Wakazuma Mangekyou) and 夫の前で●されて(Otto no mae de okasarete). They're decent, but aren't nearly as long or fleshed out as the others, so it can be somewhat of a letdown if you're expecting another Gatenkei.

Another ELF game is AV King.

It's fucking brilliant. Outside of a few scenes and bad ends there isn't a lot of NTR feels, but the sheer fun of the game more than makes up for it. Try it out if you're looking for a change of pace. The hero and his girlfriend shoot a lot of porn to get out of debt, and you run around leveling up various sex-related stats as well as acting skills so you can shoot better videos and make more money. It's not so much of a fapper as it is just a game; you plan out videos, deciding what sort of scenes will be included, then film them. While the scenes play out you can move the 'camera' around and zoom in and out to get nice shoots for bonus points. It's somewhat silly and a bit older, but a lot of fun.

Boku Gatenkei is truly amazing. I'm kinda glad i played many ntr games before it because i'm afraid if i played Gatenkei first all of other games will be pale in comparison (except Marina, Marina is still amazing :D). With the shortage of games, I begin to search on my hdd and I remembered that I have not played Oyako Rankan.

Are there any tips to play it?
Is better to leave the NTR Scenes or is better not watching them?

When I see the walkthrough of this game is a bit overwhelming so any comments would be appreciated

You mean Maro game? Marina is game from Atelier Sakura not Elf

Thanks for the recommendation..I'll check AV King out, the premise seems very interesting and it seems it's going to be funny. Even as NTR game, Gatenkei can still give me few laughs, especially in Aida's POV. I'm wondering who the scenario writer is and if he/she only exclusively lend his talent to Elf.

Maro 1 & 2 were actually the first Elf games I played. The amazing NTR scenes in the "suitcase" end route were my first experience of what that particular scenario writer was capable of in terms of NTR. I like netori as well, though, so I'm good either way. The final sex scenes in the true end routes of both Maro games are incredible. The way the relationship between Maro and Sakimi subtly develops over the course of the two games, culminating in the scene at the end of Maro 2, is just so good.

As an aside, anyone know what the deal is with the similarites between Gatenkei and Maro? Near identical cover art, heroines that work in construction and who have the same kanji in their given names (only reversed), carbon copy loser husbands the heroines affectionately name "Maa-kun". Both games even have a scene that's exactly the same, from the scenario down to the framing of the CG. I'm just curious, is all.

About AV King: it sounds like a lot of fun but how easy would it be for someone with limited Japanese to navigate the interface/menus and understand stats and whatnot?

I'm wondering who the scenario writer is and if he/she only exclusively lend his talent to Elf.

Here's the list of games Gatenkei's scenario writer is credited for on VNDB. All Elf, and all have been mentioned in the last page or so except Kawarazaki-ke no Ichizoku 2, which I think has some Type-C NTR.

i have been looking for >v8587 as well and it seems bleak. i've found a would-be healthy torrent with many peers, but everyone is stuck at 60%. i pop on it every so often, but nothing changes, because a seed never appears.

Interesting, but Nomad games are kind of confusing when they reuse a lot of their characters. I hope for a new heroine/timeline ^^

After 100% completing Boku Gatenkei, I played this game and reached ending in one-sitting :). I can see the similarities between this game and Marina, and how Marina game pretty much add what this game is lacking.
It's not very good though, for NTR game this lacks too much in bond between protag and heroine. It makes sense in the story (since it's actually explained in the game) but for NTR game it's the thing that can make or break the game. Only some scenes are good, like the "interrogation" part, the rest are pretty meh. But i'm glad Onboro has come a long way :D
Or maybe i'd just finished Boku Gatenkei and tried to fill the gap Misaki has left me :D. Damn..still feeling sad, happy, excited all mixed together after i finished the game. Can't believe i can feel this way from "just" NTR game. Fortunately (or unfortunately maybe :D) I reached "true happy end" first. If i reached "true bad end" first i think i'm gonna rage/super sad so hard it'll took me a few days to recover :D. Really can't recommend this enough, i think this game needs to be put on first page as recommendation :)

I've asked that question before in this forum and it seems there's no relation whatsoever between Maro and Boku Gatenkei aside from what you stated. I like Misaki character and the job so i welcome the similarity :D.

I wouldn't say Maa-kun is a loser though, he just has no confidence and his thought that he is inferior than everybody else dominate his life. Many people are like this so i can sympathize with him

[MENTION=94036]HeliumBrain[/MENTION] & [MENTION=96248]hgawa61[/MENTION] Dunno if I've said it before somewhere, but as far as we can tell the only relation between Gatenkei and Maro is that they were produced one following on after the other and apparently by the same production team at elf (though whether the team remained intact after the changes at the company when people left is another matter), same writer and artists and such, and had that same type picture of the heroine and are done in a similar style with little to no info about them before they were released, similar titles and also each divided into four parts (though Gatenkei released it all as a full package while Maro tried selling each part spearate) and have the same format.
Basically it two works with the same theme starting out with a similar looking heroine with a similar setting but then introducing a story around them with distinctly different situation and development.
Elf hasn't released any information about it, in fact they seem to delight in keeping it all to themselves and dropping obscure hints until the final release. They don't like to do things the same way as all the other eroge makers out there. There's no need to think to hard about it, it just seems to be a theme they were going with. Not sure if they'll keep going with it in the future after they finally complete Maro.
Actually I'm more concerned about what the internal problems the company had will do for their future production. All I know is that their main site still has a banner that seems to say that something will happen with Maro sometime 2015 and they're not saying anything else.
