  • Okay, good to know cause I have been seeing a lot in the World Cup where players go out of bounds and no penalty or anything is called so I was a bit confused lol. Sorry, don't know all the rules yet :(
    Yeah it was very close.

A few things I still don't understand about soccer though. Like at the end of the game before the guy from Netherlands got fouled he went out of bounds when he had control of the ball (the ball was still in bounds though) is it okay if the player goes out of bounds as long as the ball doesn't? I guess I was just thinking of basketball/American Football when the player has the ball, if he steps out of bounds, even if the ball is still in bounds, it's considered out of bounds and possession of the ball goes to the other team
Congrats to the Netherlands! Was able to see the last 10 minutes of the game when I got back home. What a game!
Yeah, the Netherlands surprised a lot of people last year and made it all the way to the semi-finals in the World Baseball Classic. They are ranked #6 in the world right now and beat a lot of good international teams. Unfortunately The WBC is every 4 years, so the next one isn't till 2017 :(

Also, WBC is pretty new, started in 2006, so their have only been 3 tournaments so far, but US hasn't won 1 of those tournaments and we invented baseball. Japan (ranked #2 in the world) won 2 out of the 3 tournaments, and I won't be surprised if they win the next one too, they have the best pitchers in the world
Awww that's a pity, the durian is my favourite fruit :D
Love its smell and its taste. The bitterer the better >:D
Does it really smell like garbage?
Forgot I am not going to be able to watch Netherlands Vs Mexico tomorrow since I have to go get a new suit tomorrow morning for my brothers wedding this month :sowwy: Hope they win though
Also, does Netherlands play a lot of baseball? Because in the World Baseball Classic last year they were killing teams, and I mean really good teams that play A LOT of baseball. Like Dominican Republic, Korea, and Cuba, those 3 are easily some of the best in the world in baseball and Netherlands beat them all. So I was just wondering. They eventually lost to Japan in the semi finals though.

Hmm, according to this Netherlands is #6 in the world for baseball, they are ranked higher than my native country of Puerto Rico which is awesome in baseball. Looks like I'm gonna have to keep my eye on the Netherlands the next World Baseball Classic, they are a good enough team that they then can beat US, and Japan. Looks like a good amount of the players from Netherlands come from Curacao. I believe that's in the Caribbean, and baseball is super popular there.

Sorry for all these VM's :deadsad:
Looking at the program list, looks like they will be having a lot of events and dealers. Might go and check it out. I heard conventions sell a lot of bootleg figures though :deadsad:
Hmm... Trying to decide if I should go to the anime convention here in Chicago next week, never been to one before :sowwy:

I missed the biggest anime convention this year for Chicago, but the one next week seems pretty fun.

what if we did that freaky horror movie thing where we taped open your eyes, and force you to watch hours of some creepy japanese guy speaking japanese. that'd work :lmao:
Lucky you, getting to travel. And lucky me, for the homeland to be graced by kamisama.

Hope you had fun here anyways.

Hmm, did you try any durians?
Omigosh really?! That's cool. Also how did you even end up here ._.
As a local it is my opinion that we have absolutely nothing worth attracting tourists with
Stare through my window and you'll go home blind >:(
