Well, indeed. The 2nd was more likely experimental with few stuff, just at end was the 1st the better...xD And yeah, I wanted a digital impression give (I had simple my urge after that...), and I wanted an border/frame give, where at Ara Han's colours reflects (Hmm, what she has - gold-black)...
And these are no tails, but the parts of her kimono/dress (in her Asura version)...

Hmm... Did some times Paint.NET earlier tried, and I've it then deleted/dropped. Because Paint.NET has heavily lacked in the application content, where then I did me of course rather to GIMP decided. GIMP is for me (still) the image editor tool NO. 1 - even if at GIMP no videos edit can, like at PS - I keep my loyality, and I've fun with that...xD
Hmm, well you have a point - related to life time with PS. It was for like the "first love", and you can't "her" with a other cheat - So was like at me to GIMP: GIMP did me the gate in the editing/graphic world opened, this program is really big become - not more the little-meaningless editing software about 10 years ago (Did' before GIMP to using his/her history followed), lol...xD
Oh well, I did meanwhile with G'MIC played: And I can quiet say, that indeed a awesome program is! There are a lot nice additionally effects and settings, that I of course further it use will...xD

But if you some times with GIMP spent have, then will you maybe differently think about GIMP - PS may be the Ferrari from the image-editor programs (the wealthy one), and GIMP the Mitsubishi Lancer (well the underdog) - But GIMP has not have to hide because of it...^_^

Yea, true that. I may feel like not going to work from time to time but I know I couldn't bear being without work. It's become a daily routine. Getting back to work after a long absence, like vacation, does feel nice actually. Oh and no work = no money = no games to play (aside form the ususal like food and housing x3)
Well, I don't really have anything in mind. That's the problem, I dunno where to start. I like making signatures as I'm "ok" at it, if I may say so myself. Can't find the drive to start a signature as the beginning is what I find the most annoying. It takes me quite a some time to get the fitting background, render and color scheme. But once I have that, the rest comes naturally. Usually I browse Yande.re too but the thing is, even if I spot a usable image..there's still the rendering hat comes into play, which I'm rather lazy to do.. It's a bunch of stuff that gets in the way of lazy me lol
Oh and I SUCK at text tags in signature. I can't fit it into a signature even if my life depended on it. Sometimes I feel like letting it out at it doesn't ruin the signature ;-;

And Mahou, I did the girl on the pink pic referred - The girl is Misawa Mahou from the LN/anime series Ro~Kyu~Bu! (what of course by Tinkle illustrated)...xD

Hmm... Because I didn't felt after an panorama style at that time, hmm... For me was this option at cheapest to be, and did like at Lucy also at Vespy at end the result attracted.♚About judging, well I agree that it would be not fair to use public voting to this contest. So instead of that, grading with points sounds more fair for each participant. But like I said, public voting won't do for this contest~ But if people wants to have one, then we may try making one I guess~

And yea, I know EXACTLY how it feels when you neglect and postpone stuff and the times comes for you to finish everything..

Well, I know that these not the big hits was, but 1st I don't wanted further the time from him and me drag out; 2nd I don't wanted so easily give up them, and at least some of them try to edit and see what will be. And yeah, all images what Lucy me sent has was jpg images.
And at the pink/Tinkle image: Well, if I it not render can, then at least as BG keep/use (because Lucy loves also lolies), and I did because of the rule of ASF the top side of Mahou (well, I knew who the girl was) kept - But good that at Mahou an image and even from Tinkle found have, what with this BG somehow fitting would (if you check my render gallery thread)... But at end it has me counted that Lucy the siggy liked/loved has... But I'll at next time your tips to keep in mind.
And at Ikkitousen: I did tried the colours of the both Hakufu's and the of the dragon's with contrast/colour-mix/curve/etc. to tweak, but just this result came as the best of the other results, but this may just my viewpoint been - Dunno how would it be at you though...
I did the Ouka/konoichi siggy of Vespy forgot at last time to explain: Well, you had right with the guess that for me the left side empty been were, if I not an additionally render given/added had (and I like at the charas their activities/attitudes as BG use). And the ava, well I wanted just more details of her show than in the siggy...
And now to SB's (You know him the canadian...^_^): Well, the girl is the MC heroine out of the manga and anime series Ikkitousen: Sonsaku Hakufu possesses the antique spirit out of her previous life as lord in the antique China (The 3 kingdoms of China), but she possesses also then the power of the water dragon (well, from this point will you understand, why I an dragon BG choosen have...)... I wanted just with her related BG make...xD

Well, let's start with the Lucy request: This request was at most difficult request what I ever had to do. Because the pics what Lucy to me sent had, was 1st in too small resolution; 2nd it was impossible properly the charas to render (well, out of their BG to cut), because I prefer the chars to render and then them an BG to give, but too much important parts was always covered by some needless elements or was by the image edges cut. In this case I had in some compromises go: At the pink siggy I had the received pic from Lucy as BG made - additionally, I had then an related pic to the BG render (what this my PC a bit suffered has...xD). And at the redish siggy I did the pic with an circle-eraser with an blur edge carefully erased (The hairs of the girl were impossible been properly to render...), the girl has me the impression made, that she by the cloud of the desperation swallowed will, where then I did so made...xD
Yeah, because it's really hard what to describe for everyone, because not all are professors or "politican" - where for hours long what describe...xD

この前やめるつもりでしたけど、もう一度やりたくなりました。そのためにIRCのことを聞きましたよ。
ただ、えふえーの仕事はどのフォルダに保存しておきたか忘れてしまって、スクリプトが抜き出し直せますけど面倒ですね、って考えています。英訳したいけど、それ以外のことはやる気があまりありませんね。
助手がほしいね。♚I think there's nothing to get worried about,I mean unlike SoTM this type of contest is way more personal so giving the voting system would be the same as what we talked about (by judging our entries if we'd enter the contest).Since each person likes their story best and wants to win the contest,giving them the option to vote would be unnecessary...I mean I wouldn't vote to another member if I wrote something super long and give my time to plan all the plot/characters/etc.
Though we may try and see what would happen with the voting system in second round,yet I'm still thinking that no one wants to abondon their own story by voting another story and explaining the reason why they voted for them,this would feel like the voter wrote his/her story for nothing.You know what I mean?And well,if we'd think the possibilities of the real life world,we can't be sure to expect well written explanations by each member cause they might be offline by their personal reasons.And this can cause unnecessary trouble,so I'm thinking judging would be the best option for such a personal contest.
I understand what you mean as 'elitists circlejerking' but since we're the people who made the contest,deciding on the winner is our main focus too so I don't think this should be a problem.And people should already know about this while they're entering the contest soo yeah. -
