  • Hey man. Thanks for the friend request. And do people here in general stop by their friends walls? Eh, sorry I don't. But again, thanks. :)
    See you later~

Thank you for everything. Your hard work, effort, and time is very much appreciated.

    Have a good day! <3
Oh... thanks for helping finding a judge. Tell Sam or me or post it in the Chopsticks Tournament thread. :3

Hmm... okay! I'll mention that to Sam about the Congratulatory drawing with the other contestants! Thanks for the suggestion.

Kyaa~ You like my suggestion for the song. *hugs*
Sam and I highlighted Hideki and Shiki, so they'll be judging. I want to get another person in. If you have some suggestions as to who you want to be a judge, just send a message to me or Sam.

Also, suggestions on real prizes would be nice. I wanted to sing a congratulatory song for the winner, but Sam seems... pretty neutral... XD.

I know the standard prize would be a banner or sig that states you're a winner... but I'm not a good sig maker. XD
Okay then. Thanks for letting me know. :3

I'll try to get the judges and voting under way. I'm still considering real prizes though~
Just dropping by to say hi~

Hope you have a good day. Puppies are really cute. It's nice to know you like then too. :)
The theme for the SOTM is Party Party!

    Pros:

I approve the message 'Drop the Bass' because most people would be familiar with that phrase and their minds would go to clubs, dancing, and especially partying.

The colors for the words are spot on. Readable, playful, colorful, and certainly gets the message across.

The background is right because it backs up the phrase you used.

Because you used a bright color palette for the words, it was a smart choice to have those big basses and systems in a slightly darker, but visible color to give the ambiance of a night cub.

Overall, good size and good quality.

    Cons:

The major con is the main subject. Basically the girl.

If people didn't have a sense of humor, if they didn't think any deeper without a second thought, and if they are new to the SOTM or anime, the girl wouldn't work.

    Why?

Most people, in which I am sure you have encountered, are put off by sadistic looking, creepy looking things. Despite her girlish appearance, red eyes are glowing.

When people think of party, they want more of a fun celebration. A good time. People want that feeling of being in a good mood.

However don't let that deter you. Like I mentioned, if people actually gave a second thought, the girl would work well with the overall message because the term 'drop the bass' means to give something a heavy feeling in which the girl definitely provides.

    Suggestions:

Besides the ones I mentioned, I think it is mainly if you do decide to change the girl or figure, I recommend something that pops. Basically, a girl that people would like a second glance or more to look over.

Also, maybe a few more lights or one or two bright colors near the corner of the sig or a slight sparkly/glow effect. Make it appear magical and I'm sure more people will come to your party.

    I hope I helped~ :3
Of course I would. It is truly an honor to be asked by you considering I'm a novice as well when it comes to signatures. I'll provide as much feedback as I can. :)
Yes! I can tell you put in some real good effort into it. Nice color palette too. :3
Spot on? Really? Um... thanks. Perhaps I looked at your sig quite a lot. XD

I saw your new sig though. It gives a completely different feeling from the previous one. Almost like deadly beauty. I really like it. :)
Crying Scarlet didn't make me feel sad. Some sympathy and possibly amusement to see her crying. :3

As for your sig, she appeared more lonely to me despite having those stuffed animals, but the stuffed animals actually add to the melancholy. However, the blooming flowers, even though they only last for a short time adds a little beauty and hope for the girl in the sig.
Oh... I can't wait to see.

Shiki has also contemplated about changing his too.

Hope it comes out well for you~ :3
Lol... that is a down side. I usually remind them it's 25% of our grade and try to create common interests so we can all participate.

I do recall one group project in which the other members didn't do anything. When it came time to represent, the teacher asked, "Who did what?" to determine our grade. The others looked worried because they knew they didn't do much. However, I said, "This person was the leader that kept everyone focus and prepared the materials. He did the drawings and glued the pictures. She did the writing/descriptions. And she helped in giving ideas and making the slide show. I helped give/prepare the speech and did some drawings and writing."

Why did I do that? Why did I let them off the hook? I'm not quite sure myself. All I know is that later, when there were more group projects, I saw them work a bit more diligently.
No, no... it's all right. There was just too much arguing and lot of speculation about who did what. In the end, the whole class redid their projects... with proper supervision from the teacher.

There are some benefits from working with groups. Besides trying to find common interests, it helps with communication and developing people skills.
Tablets are pricey... the good ones anyway. I bought the cheapest one. I still love pencil more, but I like pen as well.

Argh... group marks... you just gave me some pretty bad memories about that. XD
I bought the tablet for 4 months but didn't use it. XD

The school staff can be very unpredictable. They smile at you, but do things you thought they wouldn't do given their teaching position.

Ah... the horrid group projects. I'm usually the one doing the work or coming up with ideas while trying to make people get along.

Yes, I guess simple words are best for certain times to get the message across.
Good ol' pencil and paper. Classic. I really do love how a pencil can define hard or soft features depending on how much pressure you apply, the shading style, and what number pencil you use.

Lol. SOPA and PIPA. Yep. Our teachers definitely initiated this whole thing. XD

Ah, that's pretty impressive, writing words even your teachers don't know. I'm certain they have a different outlook on you now.
Take your time. Even Sam needs time. I need to get my tablet working. XD

That is pretty true. Society can do that to people. What they think is good for us tends to backfire.

Lol. Thanks. I write too much 'elaborate/figurative' things hence why some of my professors prefer something simple or straight-forward when I write... and the fact that I like metaphors. :3
    Hope to see it soon~

Yeah... 'that' professor. So much for aesthetic freedom.

There are times where it would be nice if I could just go with the flow... but not the flow of a raging current. XD
That would nice. I wonder what you'll upload?~

That professor is one who likes to follow rules and prefers the art to be on the paper you're supposed to draw on not on the exams. Beggars can't be choosers~
That's neat that your teacher doesn't mind. Your drawings must be pretty good then. I had too many warnings though even from my art professor. XD

I can draw and listen to the lectures while taking notes on the side... Although, multitasking isn't that good since I tend to forget things.
    Sure thing.

From your speech or from your text, I recall a person who spoke similarly. We don't have common interests, but I noticed how he snickered when the teacher saw me drawing in class.

So one day, the teacher handed out assignments and told me to pass them. On one paper, I quickly drew something. Just a cat with its tongue sticking out and gave it to that boy. I'm pleased to say he liked it. Thought it was funny. From there, we would have little conversations.

A person's personality can really shine when you reach out to them. I still have a hard time interpreting a person's behavior and their attitude changes like the weather. Wish I had some emotion scanner. XD
I'm not a good guesser at personalities. XD
I basically take whatever is given to me and see what happens from there.
So far, you're good with me.
