Yep, they found it but sadly it didn't glow. Apparently it flouresced pinky orange under uv... Hmm true. Maybe they are of the gender-switching kind... or maybe they're one of the few male populations, what a blow to be known as mermaids though if that were true..

So why does it have to be females? Wouldn't a photo of a turtle be ok for this too?

Woudn't it be weird if they found that all mermaids were actually male? It'd be like when scientists really found kryptonite but it was pinky white.
