Reading the replies and you guys are dropping some new titles I haven't tried out yet and it makes me wanna go try them out rn! As for my favorites, I love Aloners, Wilder: Ran's Story and ofc A Date with Death.

Sweetest Valentine, 攻略那个不良少年！and... date math (I hate math by the way...), but I really like the concept and design, all the characters look so cool.

Bloody Painter is the only game I've played on itch.io, so I'd say it's my favorite since I haven't tried any others. It's short, perfect for passing an afternoon, and if you like the horror genre, it has a bit of body horror and suspense. I recommend it.

- Love the Guard, be the King, I like this cause it was so different then my expectation, it doesn't shy away from the gruesomeness and reality of being a guard to the king or to royalty.
- Keyframes, one of the games I'm really looking forward to this year, but love the casualness of it and that the romance is sutble
- Andromeda six
- The Second Sight, they've started the second book but I've always love fantasy in regarding to other worldly people and things. I felt like they do it justice romance is in there but it's not in your face
- Scout, never been completed pretty much abandoned but it's what started me on the IF journey and will always have a soft spot in my heart

I still haven't seen anyone recommend Welcome Home yet. I guess that's understandable since the game is still pretty new. I only found out about it yesterday because one of my favorite Bilibili channels just uploaded a video about it hehe.
One of the biggest strengths of this game is definitely the gorgeous CGs, and there are A LOT of them. I also thought the story was pretty good. I personally love romance games with horror elements mixed in sooo this game is very much my cup of tea. There are also NSFW scenes (the LI literally gets a nosebleed while having sx with you
The game is already complete, I don't have to sit around waiting for the next update anymore
As for the downsides, The game doesn't have voice acting, there's only one LI (although I'm not even sure if I should count this as a downside because I'm a harem enjoyer, so don't take this one too seriously), and the game is WAY too short for my hunger for fucked-up men.

Oh, yes! The game currently supports three languages, including English. However, you might not be able to find it by searching for it directly on itch.io. Try searching for "Welcome Home Chang" instead. It should be much easier to find that way!

- Binary Star Hero, free VN by CONCRETEPARASITE. One of the bad endings was really something else! Sadly, this game is no longer available, because author deleted game's page from itch.io
- Cracks | Too Late: Frozen and Cracks: Trick Of The Light by Lamia Willow has amazing art and story, exploring some really heavy stuff. Love all little details and effects author carefully put in their work.
- Don't eat the cashier! by DETCc. Can't believe this gem is free! Loved humor, art and all the LIs.
- Lake Of Voices by GBPatch. Another great free VN with so many different endings, this is truly a game where every decision matters. Loved dark atmosphere and characters. And man, do I feel bad for Lu in all endings.
- Mushroom Oasis by DeersphereStudios with very cute and lovable LI, I hope author will update this game soon.
