Wow ... now this is a title I thought was lost to time, haven't seen this one in decades. Downloading this back in the 90s on a 28bps modem was very painful and expensive. Thank god for one japanese user who shared his games back then on his own created website that I could check out j-games back then. Getting them to run a spare computer I built was whole other can of worms but managed to get them running.

You wouldn't have the demon beast pc version at all? (From the same company if I remember correctly). I'll pop that question in the Request thread. But damn this brings back memories, really wish I kept the old drives that all these games on there. There was doujins, manga and anime games I haven't seen anywhere since. Some of which I am quite sure is now lost media, especially the doujins and manga. Although I do remember some tentacle games that still can't even find anything resembling them on VNDB so they might be either not tagged correctly and not on there at all.

I remember always being amazed at how fantastic anime games were back then compared to how crap western games were in comparison. The anime art style really shined through on computers where western games had crap pixelated characters. Also remember when the whole video games got into trouble with Mortal Kombat, I laughed because damn how little they knew how far japanese games took things. Oh man especially when phantasmagoria, 7th guest, voyeur got into heat for it's almost none existent smexy content, that was a laugh knowing j-games I played didn't give a fuck. Back then the word anime didn't even exist really, we just called it japanese animation. Good times, thanks for making me revisit those old memories, going to save these and keep them backed up so they don't get lost again on my side.

I tried opening it through DOSBOX it doesn't seem to work.

Can you give me a brief walkthrough maybe?

I think you can check the operation by following the steps below.

1) Download "VMware Workstation 16 Player".
https://www.vmware.com/products/workstation-player/workstation-player-evaluation.html

2) Install "VMware Workstation 16 Player".

3) Download the Win98SE Japanese Edition image with this title pre-installed.

4) Run the downloaded image on VMware.
I've placed an icon on the desktop.
Daemon-tools has the media mounted, so you can play it directly.
