For a few days now I've been playing around with VN CG patches and I'm trying to do another for a particular VN, that being Mirai's Shukusei no Girlfriend. Problem is that I couldn't quite find any software out there that could extract the CG from its arc00.dat and etc files. I tried out a few extraction software like Crass, and even tools like arc_unpacker, and whale tools, but still no dice.
So before I jump into the rabbit hole of straight up learning to reverse engineer the engine (which I've no prior experience on if we take away any programming I did in school), I just wanna know if anyone knows of any tool that could successfully extract(and maybe repack?) the CG from this game. I don't mind if it isn't an easy to use tool, I even tried using asmodeon's whale extractor as well, just something that will work if I learn how to.
I know repacking VN files is a whole other can of worms in and of itself, so that isn't an absolute necessity for any suggested tool. It would however be greatly appreciated if it could also repack. Any replies would be greatly appreciated!
