Kenji Koiso, a young high school student with a gift in mathematics, works as a part-time moderator in the massive computer-simulated virtual reality world, OZ, along with his friend Takashi Sakuma. After Natsuki Shinohara invites him to participate in the 90th birthday of her great-grandmother, Sakae Jinnouchi, Kenji joins her on the journey to the grannys estate. While there, Natsuki introduces Kenji as her fiancé to Sakae and to the whole family.
And here begins the another thread of the story: on the first day night Kenji receives a mysterious e-mail with a numerical code. He thinks its a mathematical puzzle, so he .............deciphers........... it. The next day the world is in chaos: the transport system, factories, telephone lines, all computer-controlled system has collapsed. As it turns out this is because someone broke in to the security system of OZ...
