I tried using it on Japanese Windows 7 SP1 x86 (VirtualBox 6.1) but got a warning popup about Quicktime for Windows after trying to launch the game.
Then I tried Japanese Windows 95 (VirtualBox 6.1) and got the same warning popup. Still on Win95, I ran Kurarun.exe and clicked Setup QTW. After that installation, I was able to launch the game.
Notes: I don't think this game has a windowed mode. The text seems to progress automatically on its own (clicking did nothing).
