No game text for Crimson Lunatics (クリムゾン・ルナティクス)

I downloaded Crimson Lunatics (クリムゾン・ルナティクス), and whenever I play the game there is no game text. It's just a blank box with some random letters at the top. I have visual novel reader attached to it, but won't translate it. It always says fetching comments but never translates it. I have my system locale to Japanese. I've never had this problem with other visual novels.

I have the same problem with Sacred Lineage (幻聖神姫LINEAGE －セイクリッドリネージュ－) but at least Visual novel reader can translate it.

Any help would be much appreciated.
