Need help running Illusion Field

I have been trying to get this game to run fo a couple days now. I finally got it installed by changing the folder and mis exe to just illusion field but when i go to launch the game it crashes. i have tryied running it in locale japanese with without admin and still it will not work. even when i changed the regional on my pc it would still crash. i have tried a number of exe patches and nothing seems to work. this is all on a win vista which i have never had any trouble running games before. any help would be appreciated. thanks
