Recently, my brothers and I have decided to start an adult videogames mini company, more like an entrepreneurship. We have different backgrounds and knowledge, we’ll be bringing three different games built on three different engines within the next six months. Haven’t decided what will be the final roadmap yet but we’re already at production phase in all three games.
We know we need to give people what they like/enjoy the most, when we were young (yeah, we’re not that young anymore) we thought everything we enjoyed the rest of the world surely will enjoy too… big surprise: doesn’t work that way, so, now we really want to pay close attention for what you people have to say. I decided I would be working on my casual adult game for a month and that I would release the code in exchange for opinions and thoughts about it, recommendations about mechanics, what you like, what you don’t like, platforms and any idea. I love adult games, but I’m still lost at what the market wants.
So, here it is, the whole code for the game, you just need to download it and unzip it, then download and run “Godot” engine and import the project. And that’s it, press F5 and enjoy. You can modify and create your real levels (current levels are just made for testing and developing purposes.)
I know my code isn’t the best right now, I’m a newbie at Godot and I’ve been trying a couple of things so… you’ll find lack of standards, some bad practices and just stupid stuff, but hey, it’s my first project on Godot engine, which I have to say: it’s great! and free!
Anyways, just hope to get your attention and maybe lucky enough to have your thoughts on what we’re trying to do.
Just one more thing, the game doesn’t have any final arts, just mock-ups and place-holders, artist are expensive and I’ve been waiting for my brothers to have time in order to produce the visual art, animations, special effects, particles and sounds for the game, sorry, it looks AWFUL, I know. What we should focus on is mechanics, dynamics and game structure like how easy is to get to where you want.
Of course, any comment or feedback regarding platforms, user experience, controls, distribution, best publishers, everything is welcome.
