If you ended up in an otome game, which role do you think you'd be?

Best friend definitely, so I can smack some sense inti the mc everytime she tries something stupid that put her life in danger.

I want to be heroine or a love interest's mother so I can give them mommy issues

I'd love to be the heroine in a game that's funny, sweet, and fluffy, like Glass Heart Princess or something along those lines.

But if it's a game where I'm going to suffer, I think I'd rather be the heroine's best friend instead. I could just sit on the sidelines, give her advice, and watch everything unfold.

And if I were the villainess? I might just end up enjoying the rich-girl life, completely abandoning the mundane world, and refusing to follow the plot at all.

No getting involved in the main storyline. No drama. Just enjoying my wealth and living peacefully.

I definitely would not last long as a heroine

I think in a fantasy setting I would love to be a smart side character - like a scientist or a doctor or a royal advisor, whatever goes - that can info dump on the main characters. I would not be opposed to being a mascot character too, honestly LOL

If it's slice of life then I would love to have a similar role to the little brothers/MC's friends in the TMGS games, someone who can supply the LI's information to the heroine

Also does the role changes depending on the game theme? For example, fantasy, mystery, school life etc.

In my case, i think i would be a NPC
As villainess or final boss i am not bad enough HAHAHAHA
And as heroine, i cannot imagine that lol (maybe if i ended up in a school life otome)

No matter what game I will be that one background character who the heroine sees only once and has to help or will get a bad ending.

If I could choose, I would be the MC but like in a chill slice-of-life otome like Tokimeki Memorial or something. Like all I do is go to school, go shopping, part-time job, study and romance my favourite guy.
I'm not physically or mentally strong enough to be in a lot of these otome games like Amnesia or Collar x Malice etc lmao.

Realistically I'd probably be an NPC haha

Honestly, I'd probably be an NPC too. I'd most likely be that random side character who shows up occasionally, gives some advice, and then disappears from the story.
I do think the role would change depending on the setting, though. In a school-life otome I could maybe see myself as a classmate or even the heroine, but in a fantasy or mystery game I'd 100% end up as an NPC.
