If you’ve already played a game that hasn’t been localised, would you play it again once it has been localised?

So, since my post I actually learned a bit more about Aksys. I wanted to investigate this properly, and what I found was even more upsetting than what I could anticipate.
Wow, such a garbage company. How do they still stay in business? Why do people continue to give them money? Please have some more self-respect, folks!

I wouldn't play it again, as I feel that reading the original text is the best way to understand the plot and the characters' personalities. I'm not saying this applies to everything—there are plenty of games where the localisation is quite good—but some are simply terrible. What's more, in some localised versions, characters speak in dialects, which feels jarring when reading in your own language; it makes me feel the characters seem rather odd.

If i liked the game then i would replay it again with proper localization, heck eventually i am going to replay hakuoki for the fourth time, because the steam version translation was questionable, and the switch version should hopefully have better translation.

I don't really like replaying games in general, and the quality of localizations, alas, usually isn't something worth looking forward. I might give it a try though depending on how much i enjoyed the story
