How come some games are just gone from DLSite?

Have they moved to DMM?

Also notice ho some games exist and are searchable but not under the author's page?

Dlsite quietly added region based locks based on IP address as you guessed some time around late January/early February most likely due to pressure.

And even barring that, some products are also not searchable or accessible via circle as you've noticed and can only be accessed via direct links.

Wow! I have notice it happen with just a few games on DLsite. Some just disappeared out of nowhere but I didn't know some were just locked for users unless they had the direct URL.
I just hope they don't remove the access to those who bought said games, galleries, etc. I will have to check my old account to to see if some of them vanished as well.

People I've reached out to (people here the forums and friends who buy stuff from DLsite) so far still have full access to previously purchased items, even though they're not viewable.

This includes some of the more "niche" stuff as well.

I still recommend keeping a local backup just in case though, if you can afford the disk space.

Losing access to stuff you've spent money on just because a third party/distributor/manufacturer decides you should no longer "own a purchased item" is a horrible feeling, and is so easy to happen nowadays with a literal flip of a button/switch.

But if the seller stops selling his items on the site, then they disappear from your library of purchased games.

From what I know they delete stuff that have/contain AI.. then loli and now I think it's JK element...

No, they did not delete AI contents. They just move it into a dedicated section (still within the same site). You'll need VPN linked to Japan IP to view it. Loli and JK stuff are region-blocked to anyone outside Japan, cause they've had enough of the woke cultists.

The non extreme stuff also got caught in the crossfire. Not because the Japanese wanna do it, but because the western payment processors (Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Patreon) likes going on a moral tirade and censors stuff. The Japanese got pissed, and now literally EVERYONE outside of Japan had to pay the price for it.

you mean just Visa and Mastercard, paypal is more of a bank, the paypal credit card is a mastercard. Patreon is more like a store they accept visa and mastercard for payments Visa and Mastercard threatened to revoke access to their services if they didn't comply with the content removal. which is more than half of their customers payment methods. i.e. if you're in the US do you have any cards in your wallet that are Discover or American Express? if not you wouldn't have been able to pay for anything on Patreon if they could no longer accept Visa and Mastercard.

Games are locked by region now, it harder to buy it some copies if you live outside jp. to access it website with full access i use a vpn

Probably because ur from a different region??? Dlsite sadly gas alot of content blocked behind ur ip address which force alot of us to just use vpns which can be really bothering when you wanna get a game or anything…( i to this day dont understand why some products r locked behind our regions…)

If you read my other comment above, same thing happened to dlsite as what happened with Patreon and Visa/Mastercard. thats why dlsite doesn't direcctly accept visa and mastercard, but dlsite isn't as reliant on that duopoly didn't have to bend over backwards and fully comply to stay afloat. It's also part of the reason for the changes in the names of certain tags. V/MC though won't do bussiness with dlsite until the content was removed. Dlsite went with region locking the content instead of removing it entirely. So now if those two card issuers are your only options. Then you have to buy points to buy anything off dlsite. Which in turn prevents you from earning points off your purchases as you can't earn points off of things purchased with points.
