However, our forum policies and practical considerations oblige us to keep this space strictly focused on content sharing, discussion and support in the form of advice or moral encouragement, rather than direct financial appeals.

If we were to approve one personal fundraiser, we’d quickly find ourselves inundated with similar appeals from other users in need, medical bills, hardware upgrades, rent, school fees, etc. We simply don’t have the resources to vet and administer dozens or hundreds of fundraising campaigns and this is simply not the place for such. Furthermore, we strive to treat all members equally under the rules. Making an exception here would undermine that principle.
