Do you like the slice-of-life otome genre?

If the characters & art are very beautiful, plus the content isn't boring, I'll play it.

I like them! It's nice sometimes to just kick back and enjoy a wholesome, fuzzy story where the stakes are lower. The character writing needs to be really good for it work though.

Yes, I definitely like this type of game. So I am always happy to play slice-of-life

I prefer slice of life, fantasy or modern. I don't really like otome with too much misery or dark.

I'll play it if the characters and content appeal to me.
I'm not really a fan of games that are depressing or bleak.

Definitely! I find it a little tiring when an otome plot is too heavy or drama-focused and we barely get any romance. I haven't played many slice-of-life otome (I plan on playing Hakuoki SSL soon) but I definitely wanna play more! I remember really enjoying Tokimeki Memorial Girls Side Love Plus when I played it a long time ago.

I wouldn't mind trying a slice-of-life otome with normal guys, but it really comes down to the writing. My main concern with having 'zero drama' is that the story might become a bit too flat or boring. If a game loses my interest, I tend to drop it pretty easily!
So even in a normal everyday setting, there still needs to be strong character chemistry and some emotional hooks or challenges to keep the plot engaging.

I like slice of life otome games because they are a good change after something with heavy angst. Sometimes, I just want a chill fluffy story with cute moments. As long as the romance is good, I dont really mind the genre.

As others have mentioned, even if it is a slice-of-life game, I am fully willing to buy it if it is fun, regardless of the genre. However, in today's world, it seems really difficult to satisfy one's need for entertainment with a slice-of-life genre that doesn't provide a dopamine rush. It truly just depends on the effort of the game developers😊

Yep, for sure! They may be less exciting and suspenseful but sometimes I need a break from all the darker and crazier games, so I like playing these more chill and comfy games in between. As long as the characters are interesting and the story is good, I'll play them. I especially like the ones that are modern and funny.

I love them! I really like this kind of game—the ones that are about everyday life and what you do on weekends...
.
¡Me encantan! Me gusta mucho este tipo de juegos los que tratan sobre la vida cotidiana y lo que haces los fines de semana...

If it's just a very dull, formulaic day-to-day story, it's probably not really my cup of tea.
But if it's the kind of story where you can see the writer exploring the characters' attitudes toward life and the gradual shifts in their mindsets in a unique and nuanced way,
then that's very much the kind of story structure I love.
I also tend to get more invested when it's not a slice-of-life work set in a school setting.

I'd love to!

As long as the story is great and the artwork catches my eye. When you play too many fantasy romance games, a slice of life otome game is a great palate cleanser. I wouldn't even mind a slice of life game that uses schedule management lol.

yep, these are one of my fav tropes! Shoujo and slice-of-life are so good most of the time. It feels much more real and immersive.

I really like the slice-of-life otome genre. After playing the heroine who saves the world so much, it's also good to return to everyday life sometimes. As long as the story is well-written, every type of game can be awesome.
