"Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai" Light novels?

So... I just finished the anime and it was the first time one actually made me cry... :/

so, i know that they are continuing the anime for another season in January of this coming year, but im wondering about light novels. I've never read any before, so it would be my time doing something like that.

In the comments section for a preview for the new season, somebody said that they hope it covers a specific volume or something. So does that mean there are many more light novels of Chuunibyou? cuz i really liked it and i'd like to read whatever the animation might not cover.

Is there anyone with any advice or info on any of it? like how many light novels there are or something? thanks
