I'm traveling in Japan; in Beppu, Oita currently and trying to get a cheap phone plan (burner phone, sim card, whatever) that doesn't involve smartphones. any stores that sell cheap phone plans here?
I need it to last at least a year or 2.
Smartphone plans here for that kinda duration seem to be in the 900$ (90000yen) range but that's abit.....expensive. and Im not using a smartphone, I just need a regular cellphone number to receive messages and such from a Japanese bank and other such stuff that seem to need a cellphone number.
usually I wouldn't use a phone but there seems to be a need for it now. i dont suppose there's alternatives like online cellphones?
