Are there any notable differences between a first edition figure and a reissue?

Hello. I saw a Houshou Marine figure (from Hololive) in a store about 6 months ago and I wanted to buy it, but I didn't have any money.
When I went back, two months later, they told me they didn't have it in stock, and that it would be difficult to find it because they release limited quantities for a period of time.
It looks like they'll be re-running this figure this summer.
My question is, is there much of a difference in figures from a first edition to a second or third edition? If so, what are the most notable changes?
Thanks.

From what I've seen, later editions usually don't change the sculpt itself, but the paintwork can be refined a bit. Colors may look brighter or more balanced, and small details like shading or finish can improve. The main difference tends to be in the overall polish rather than the design.
