syrup16gが11月16日にニューアルバム「darc」をリリースすることが明らかになった。
今冬スタートするツアー「HAIKAI」に向けて、新曲を作るべくスタジオに入っていたという彼ら。その際に制作意欲があふれ、結果的に8曲入りのアルバムを完成させるに至った。なおエンジニアとしてsyrup16gの初期を知る渡辺修一が参加しており、メンバーは「（2001年リリースの）アルバム『COPY』を今、作ろう」という気持ちで制作に挑んだとしている。
またアルバム収録曲を披露するワンマンライブが、11月1日に東京・下北沢CLUB Queで行われることが決定している。バンドのオフィシャルサイトでは、本日9月30日19:00にチケット販売がスタートする。
