The game has registry issues. I am not sure about others, but I at-least had an error pop-out where the game outright refused to run. I'm guessing it's due to missing registry values mostly due to the fact that the game files are literally a copy of installation dump rather than the setup files themselves. As such, if anyone else faces the same problem here is a solution.


Create a text file with following content: https://pastebin.com/6E83ac0f
Replace c:\path\to\game\ with your path to the game, double backward slashes are necessary.
Rename the text file to mote.reg and run it to add to registry.

Credit for the solution source goes to user "ilih" from nyaa.

Additionally, I've found it would be best to avoid using Japanese texts in the directory path if you decide to rename it. For some reason, even with locale, the registry fails to execute the changes due to GGD errors. Best to stick to English.
