In the third episode of *Suspicious Partner*, Sakurai (Kyoko Saito) decides to confess her feelings to Haruto (Yusuke Yagi), but he harshly rejects her, telling her to never appear before him again. Haruto, who has quit his job as a prosecutor, is filled with regret for not being able to live up to his father's legacy. Two years later, Haruto is now working as a lawyer, while Sakurai has opened her own law office. However, due to the past incident, she struggles to find credible clients. Unbeknownst to her, a mysterious figure is watching her from the shadows. Just as Sakurai is dealing with her challenges, she receives a request from a man named Hayashi (Ikuya Moro), and in a surprising twist, she discovers that the defense attorney for the case is none other than Haruto.
