Kosaka Kento works at a publishing company as an editor of the manga magazine Comic Boon. He is so dedicated to his work that he even works overtime at home, and by making thorough preparations, he is able to smoothly handle the work of publishing a manga that does not always go as planned. He is known as "Mr. Risk Avoidance" because he works harder than anyone else; however, that is actually because he is afraid of having free time. In fact, Kento once aspired to be a novelist but failed, and even now, he is hiding his desire to write a novel deep in his heart and running away from his true feelings.
One day, Fukada Yuzu, a popular idol manga artist at Comic Boon, declares that she will be taking a break from her manga without notifying the editorial department. Kento goes to meet her in person to persuade her to continue. While doing so, he finds out that Yuzu has lost her motivation to write manga due to being driven to the brink by public opinion on the Internet. When Kento warmly supports her, she opens up a little. To help Yuzu change her mood, Kento decides to take her for a walk. Through their daily walks, Yuzu has come to completely open up to Kento, and suddenly she shows up at his house.
