First of all, I think this is a brilliant idea! I often find myself wishing there were more active discussions centered around a single game. Second, it kind of reminds me of how Reddit does discussion threads for each route when a new game comes out. I imagine it being an active server where...

It's not an opening but Shimamiya Eiko – Kokuchou no Psychedelica from Psychedelica of the Black Butterfly. This song... it gets me every single time I listen to it

Surprisingly, it's Norn9. THREE voiced heroines, an interesting story, and, chef's kiss, the characters actually have lives and develop relationships even outside of their own routes. And Teita has officially become one of my favorite otome artists, right alongside Satoi.

People have already mentioned the MiHoYo characters, so I won't repeat them, but Genshin has an LI for pretty much every taste. I guess I'll go with Type-Moon characters instead. Gil, you can be my yandere, yes.

Yang from Piofiore no Banshou. I couldn't finish Piofiore because of him. After his route, I just couldn't bring myself to move on to the others. He put me through every possible emotion in his route. He's definitely not a comfort character, but he'll always be my favorite.

It used to be the art style for me, but games have gotten so pretty nowadays that the story and YouTube reviews play a much bigger role in whether I'll give a game a try.

My favorites are usually either somewhere in the middle or in the top 3, so I can't really say I'm rooting for the underdogs. But hey, like someone said above — more for me! 😌

Honestly, I don't really care, but I love my gorgeous heroines, so I do enjoy looking at them

Cough cough I'll say right away that if the route is written well, I'll still enjoy reading it. But yeah, there's probably no chance the character will become one of my favorites. Yanderes. I've already said this in other threads, but I really do hate them in like 80% of cases. Childhood...

+1 to having the memory of a goldfish lol. I'll watch otome reviews, get spoiled on something, and then completely forget about it by the time I actually get around to playing the game. So I've learned to just avoid reading other people's comments while I'm playing a LI's route. Even if I do...

I don't actively look for them, but I sometimes come across really good art on X.

Cinderella Phenomenon? Lucette is the only character I could think of. At least, I feel like her archetype is more than just a tsundere.

It's been 2 years since I started Akaza's route, and I still haven't managed to get through it because I don't want to say goodbye to the game. (Although I keep rereading Riku's route). But I guess it's probably time, especially now that the fandisc is out. It's been a year and a half since...

It was Yo-Jin-Bo, Clover no Kuni no Alice, and La Corda d'Oro. I went into all of them completely blind, knowing barely any Japanese or English, but I was really curious about the whole VN genre. Ever17: The Out of Infinity was super popular at the time and had been translated into my language...

I saw Riku but somehow missed Himuka. So yeah, another gorgeous long-haired boy

I decided to browse the tag on VNDB and saw that they consider Suou from Ayakashi Gohan and Kuroba from Olympia Soiree as yanderes. What kind of nonsense is that? So I'll put it this way: I'd let Yang do pretty much anything to me and forgive him for all of it  But I genuinely hate...

Ooooh, this is totally my topic. First of all, Mass Effect is my favorite game series of all time. I genuinely couldn't tell you how many Garrus/Shepard fanfics I've read. Huge respect to BioWare — I watched a video on YouTube about how they eventually decided to start making romances for a...

Short answer: no. Long answer: PLEASE, no  Directors just can't seem to make good adaptations of otome visual novels, and the animation quality is pretty damn low too.

I prefer a balance between the two, but if I had to choose, definitely character routes. Especially if the game has a very heavy plot, I want to get as much romance as possible.

Happy Birthday! :giggle:
