Agreed; To be honest, I just couldn't get through virche with its writing style. I'm happy, at least, that "darker" otome games are a little more popular these days. Hopefully we get a truly touching one soon.

This is just my taste in female characters in general, but i do love when otome mcs are a little mean or unsanitary. Out of the more common otome mcs, though, I find the "manic pixie dream girl"-esque MC cute. I love it when the LIs are visibly getting tired of her...
Love and Deepspace wasn't my cup of tea either, but my most controversial disliked game is Virche Evermore: Error Salvation. I just couldn't do it... something about the writing, or the mc, threw me off severely ...
