Bad endings take priority! Seeing the good ending feels more satisfying to me after I see everything go wrong beforehand. Also, since routes leading up to the good ending are often a bit longer, I guess it makes more sense to me to finish the shorter bits first.

I don't mind a long common route if it's necessary to establish the setting (Shingakkou definitely needed it, for example). But if there's no need for elaborate setup, longer character routes are the way to go! The LIs and their associated drama are what I'm playing the game for :desire:

BL, hands down. I love dark/mature themes and dislike self-inserts, so such VNs are usually perfect for me. Not that otome content is inferior or never meets the above criteria -- just to each their own. Also, I think I like male protagonists more. Hard to explain why.
