It varies per game for me. If I believe the experience to be more interesting while played blind, then I'll do that. Otherwise I'll check specific details of guides to get the endings I want the most.
I'm usually not the biggest fan of yandere's. The forceful toxic personalities they have only make me uncomfortable most of the time. Not a fan of so many of them being made.
I'd love to see more of the "Ice Princess" type of MC like Lucette from Cinderella Phenomenon. It's really entertaining for the MC to have a sharp edge to them.
Yes! I have no clue why Ken Ga Kimi doesn't have a translation yet, they're really missing out on a lot of new players. One game I'd mention myself that has really pretty art is Cendrillon palikA. It looks so nice.
Yes!!! Long hair is my favorite!!! All of my favorites have already been mentioned in this thread. Sometimes I edit boys with short hair to have long hair, because I think it's always superior...
I felt this way with Collar x Malice. I heard good things about it before playing it, but I just couldn't connect with the LI's. Really a shame because the story and worldbuilding are great.
I think both western and asian ones are good in different ways. The way of thinking itself is different in both cultures, so the stories can vary in how they're told depending on where the developer is from. Western ones at least to me, seem more grounded and "realistic" while asian ones are...
I just thought of a weird thing I've seen in some Otome games, where the MC is dressed much more "plainly" than the other characters. It makes sense to have the characters be designed well, but it looks very odd if it's in a historical setting and the MC's outfit looks plain compared to the...
Hi! I'm looking for any Otome games that have cute animals, preferably a lot of them. I like most Otome games except some dark romance stuff (it can be a bit extreme).
Kaoru from Ken ga Kimi is great! Her design is really grounded in the historical setting, and I like her character in general too. She's really well written.
My first one was Cinderella Phenomenon, I was just browsing steam when I was slightly younger and found it as a free indie game and decided that I might as well try it. At the time I loved playing it so much that I started seeking out more games in that genre, and now I'm a huge fan of the...
As a self inserter, I've noticed that I don't feel nearly as immersed if the "good end" requires me to be entirely perfect, like the most patient, selfless and pure-hearted person possible. If I want to go against anything or be realistic about a situation then I'm punished with a lower...
