Although it wasn't an otome game, I have played a romance simulation game that utilized generative AI.
It was fascinating to be able to type in my own responses—rather than choosing from a set list of options and receive an immediate reaction or reply. However, a drawback is that it sometimes...
In the doujin scene, I like Koitsuda Renya(恋津田蓮也) the most, and recently I listen to a lot of Irodori Kazuya's(彩和矢) works. I want everyone to recognize how cute Irodori is 🙏
I'd be so happy if more mobile otome games were released, but I don't understand why they're so aggressive about pushing in-game purchases. It would be much better if they just released them as paid, one-time-purchase games—it's really annoying how they're free-to-play but then demand extra...
I wasn't really familiar with the dating simulation genre.
I started out by watching a lot of anime, but once I discovered that some of those series were actually based on (otome) games, and I got curious and decided to give them a try.
After that, it seemed like I came to understand the appeal...
I personally prefer happy endings, but bad or sad endings often leave a more lasting impression, so I don't mind them either. As for the order, I go with happy endings first, followed by bad endings.
I think up to 5 Lis should be fine.
I've played other idol-themed games that featured more than 12 characters, and it was so chaotic because I couldn't even tell who was who. 🤣
I prefer something that consists solely of text-based reading elements, like a visual novel.
I don't like when mini-games appear, as they tend to break my concentration. 😅
One additional feature I'd want to see is a text-skipping option (to skip text that has already been viewed).
Actually, I liked anime at first, but I became interested when I realized I could also enjoy the otome genre through games. It was surprise for me because it contained many romantic elements that the anime couldn't satisfy.
I prefer everyday stories. I enjoy romance plots that feel realistic even if the specific events might not actually happen. it feels like something that could truly occur in real life.
Well, while I look forward the attempt to incorporate features like a combat system, developers often end up delivering something as simplistic as a clicker game personally, I'd much rather they focus more on the story. 😓
Portable devices are convenient.
However, for large-scale games or those featuring Live2D or 3D sprites, I sometimes experience lag depending on the version, so I play them on PC instead.
I don't consider the fact that the MC has no face to be a drawback.
In the games I've played, whenever there was physical contact, only catch a glimpse of the characters from behind or the side, so it didn't feel unnatural to me.
As for me, things like NTR or violence (it's fine if they're tagged beforehand).
Also, even though it's an otome game, I hate it when BL elements are introduced between the love interests.
Unless it's been over a year since I last played, I tend to just pick up where I left off.
reading through all the text again from the beginning can be tiring.
Norn9, I ended up playing the game after first discovering it through the anime, and I was surprised by the incredibly star-studded voice cast. The fact that there are three protagonist—each with her own route to pursue was also a novel concept to me.
