For me it was kind of the opposite, I found VNs to be the best way to learn a language. But I really enjoyed playing them to the point I'm now playing English releases for the ones I really like. I should stick to japanese though but I'm getting lazy..
I wouldn't even download them. In my experience the gacha/gambling mechanics seem to be the most aggressive in these games, and I'm trying to distance myself from this genre after playing Hoyoverse games. Plus I vastly prefer a complete visual novel where I know how much time I need to finish it.
Me too I really love Suoh's art style (stylized anatomy/color) and can't wait for Agents of the four seasons, they're the character designer for that novel/anime. I feel like QMENG's art has a similar style.
yes it really annoys me and I can't focus, which is why I usually turn the music volume down, and if I find myself really enjoying the music in some games I turn it back up which is not that frequent tbh.
