  1. Otome Recommendation megathread

If you can play or emulate Bad Apple Wars, I think it fits well with what you asked for; you might also really like Virche and Sins of Kaleido.
  2. Do you find long-running titles intimidating or harder to get into?

For me, it's not really a problem (fortunately); it's more about whether I'm in the right mood to start a title. I recently started the Sumire no Tsubomi series, and I plan to move on to Hoshi no Oujo after I 100% complete it. Usually, these series just require a bit more time; once I start, I...
  3. Bride/Bone/Bansish - CupidParasite

Hmm... I don't think it's a complicated choice. Bride: Gill Bone: Allan Banish: Raul Despite loving the game overall, I still have my favorites. :akazukin_blush:
  4. Otome Recommendation megathread

I'd recommend Sympathy Kiss; it has really good vibes. If you want something more like a rom-com, Cupid Parasite and Love Pretend are great choices.
  5. Levels of Yandere that you can accept

I'm pretty easygoing, as long as it doesn't involve NTR. I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but I think creating a good 'yandere' character is harder when it comes to males than females. There are plenty of female characters out there, but male ones? You practically have to go on a hunt...
  6. What Otome would you like to be translated into ENG?

As many people here have mentioned: Clock Zero. I'd also love to see Spade no Kuni no Alice; Sangoku Rensenki is definitely in my top list too! I still find that game adorable to this day.
  7. Is there any mechanics or anything in general that you would like to in more games?

It's not a specific mechanic, but rather an 'otome' version of visual novels—like Your Memories Off ~Girl's Style~. I love that series; the Memories Off games in general are fantastic, though unfortunately, they don't come out very often anymore. Like many others here, I would also love an RPG...
  8. games that aren't exactly "otome" but that you still really like?

Like most people here, I really enjoy games from Atlus, Fire Emblem, Story of Seasons, and Princess Maker (and games inspired by them—I play a LOT of titles in that genre). Then there's Avalon Code—someone mentioned it here—which is adorable; who knows, maybe one day it'll get a port. Fields of...
  9. Marrychan

[Otome] [Switch] [REQUEST] The Prince of Tennis: Doki Doki Survival nsp

I'm pretty excited for this one when it comes out! I love the series; it's rare for Konami to release translated games like this, especially the older ones. Koei could follow suit and release the Kiniro no Corda games this way too. :akazukin_blush:
  10. What was your biggest mobile otome shut-down heartbreak?

Someone mentioned My Candy Love! I used to play it a lot back in the day; I absolutely adored Lysandre. I was bummed that they left him out of the subsequent games—though I have a theory that they did it because his outfit design was probably a huge hassle to draw, but that's just my theory.
  11. [Otome] Otome MEGA Reuploads Community [Updated: Nov 19]

It's fine to post here, but I think it would be better to ask in the game thread. That way, it's easier for Otome to see it; she's become active here again, so I believe she'll re-upload the content quickly.
  12. Whats the most well written Otome game you've played?

I really enjoyed Virche (which I recently finished), I didn't think I would like the game as much as I did, I devoured the entire game in about a week. I thought all the main and secondary characters were very well written; my only reservation about the story is Cupid Parasite, which I played...
  13. [Otome] [EN] Does anyone have Road to Empress?

It's similar to Paper Bride; you need to be connected to the internet just to start the game. Many Chinese games on Steam—especially mobile ports—have this kind of thing.
  14. How many love interests do you think is the ideal number for an otome game?

For me, it's between 3 and 5. Three is ideal, and 5 is still acceptable. When there are more than that, the mechanics have to work really well to avoid confusion; titles like Kiniro no Corda, Sangoku Rensenki (as already mentioned), and Prince of Tennis—I love those games because they offer a...
  15. [Otome] [EN] Does anyone have Road to Empress?

I have a quick question about the game, in case anyone here has played it. I recall it originally being a mobile game where you had to buy chapters to keep playing. How does the PC version work? I've often seen it on Steam and wanted to buy it, but I didn't want to get a game sold in separate...
  16. Is there a trope that never works for you?

Childhood friends—it never bothers me when that trope is present, but it's not a factor that heavily influences whether I like the character. I'm not really a fan of the "fake dating" trope either—maybe because it usually tends to make the romance feel a bit... too easy? I actually played Lover...
  17. [Your opinion on diabolik lovers]

I first discovered the series through the visual novel, and then I watched the anime. I think it was quite successful—especially since there aren't many vampire-focused visual novels out there these days, right? At the very least, Reject's games tend to feature a wide variety of distinct Mls. It...
  18. Your favorite route?

Lucas from Mistonia, even though I think they could have given more love to his route, I definitely love him as a character and his route in general. :akazukin_blush:
  19. The most haunting bad ending?

Piofiore was always on my list of games with surprising Bad Ends, but I recently finished Virche, and I don't think anything else on my list could top the Bad Ends there. The writers really got carried away with writing bad endings. I even had dreams about Yves and Lucas endings. Guys, beware of...
