The first anime I can remember seeing was Dragonball Z back when I was five. A little after that was Tench Muyo, Ronin Warriors, Sailor Moon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Gundam, Big O, etc. etc. Those were good days. EDIT: Oh and Pokemon, although I never cared much for it.

My favorite has always been Doki. They consistently use the nicest looking fonts (right size, style fits the show) and in general just delivery quality subs.

Every time I see an anime, I'm like "Japan is awesome! I wanna live there!" Then I start thinking and feel like the TV shows they have don't accurately depict Japanese life. Hell, even Clannad probably wouldn't be an accurate depiction. I have a feeling it's similarish to the Western world...

I download any group, but I really have come to like Doki. I was watching a few different subs of Clannad After Story and I noticed that Doki did the best job. They went as far as having animated effects for the subtitles during the music where as SS-Eclipse didn't.

Clannad After Story. I nearly cried at the end, but I didn't; Instead I just got really depressed. And I recently finished Angel Beats!, which made me feel sad in the happy way, but nothing like Clannad did.

I think I like anime simply because of the amazing stories they have. In the U.S. we get bullshit like iCarly or The Secret Life of the American Teenager. Cartoons are crap such as... whatever it is they air these days. But with anime you get amazing plots with actual coherence with the episodes...
