カタイ/ Katai means both strong/solid (as in a bond) and hard (as in erection). The "(meaningful)" (意味深) (i'm guessing the other one somehow translated it as enigmatic?) isn't describing the bond but pointing out the double meaning of his own words, so it's like adding a (get it???) after your own joke (Thank you Bakshi we all laughed!!)

Then when he's saying how just watching it makes him get an erection (ボッキ), he censors it twice (er*ction and *rection). Thank you Bakshi for my innocence was preserved. And in the first instance he's also using shimasu wa which is a feminine way of ending a sentence (Once again thank you Bakshi)

Right?? And that's not counting the niche pop culture references I probably miss all the time (and that's true for all media regardless of language but the barrier does make it much harder to pick up on stuff I guess!) But it's also always fun to reread and notice new stuff!

And yeah it's funny how nowadays, AI translation is able to pick up on certain nuances not stated in text but that means it'll also often invent nuance that doesn't exist lol

Speaking of, in this instance Bing managed to catch that 帰りま10 (kaerima-TEN) should be 'not going back home' (kaerimasen) and it had me look up - apparently 帰りま10 was the name of some variety show?

I also use a Google LLM—and sometimes Google itself—but Bing in Spanish is absolute shit. I really like using the LLM because I can specify the characters' genders; Spanish is much harder to translate than English, thanks to all its damn grammatical rules t_t

Well, I'm currently diving into this new BL gacha game—damn, I've been laughing so much, especially with these two. I mean, the way one of them just says, "Let's stop being friends and start fucking instead"—hilarious!

Besides, I only have 2 SSRs, yet I can still hold my own against the bosses—though the game is definitely tougher to beat with just those 2. I also just unlocked the event; I don't usually play the beta versions of gacha BL games.

To get things rolling: I'm currently thinking about whether to build a list of games that lets you obtain endings or romances with male characters as a male MC, because I think that's within the BL enjoyers' interest zone. A new indie BLVN, A Personal Winter, has been out for a few days now! It's not tagged as such (yet?) but the developer describes it as BL in one of their tweets. It's also going to get English, Spanish and Chinese translations in the next two months! I'll check it out soon along with their other finished game (not bl).
