Story, Voice, Character. If one of these were missing, you’d still wanna try it?

I think I could overlook the voice acting if the story and characters were really good! But if I don't find the characters appealing, it's a completely different story 😭 I feel like I need at least one LI I'm genuinely interested in to stay invested, no matter how amazing the plot is!

That being said, I've definitely had characters grow on me after initially not being interested in them, so I try not to judge too quickly based on first impressions. Sometimes the ones I least expect end up surprising me the most!

I can overlook the lack of voice acting or boring characters, but if I don't like the story I'll get bored quickly. What keeps me hooked on a otome is the plot, even if I don't like the route I can still make it to the end if the story unfolds in an interesting way. On the other hand, if the story is boring, the character would have to be truly incredible.

Voice acting is a total non-issue for me. I don't mind if it's bad (I can just mute it lol), or if the game doesn't have any. As someone who played/plays a lot of doujin stuff, it's not a surprise, haha

A bad story, that's a bit more worrisome! But I can forgive it if I like the characters well enough. There are some games were I dislike the story per se, but love the characters

Bad characters is the one thing that sours a game for me. They don't have to be a specific type of character I like, but they need to be compelling; either their personality or their dynamic with the rest of the cast ;b

I think I could overlook poor character writing but not bad voice acting. If at least the story is engaging and makes up for it, I think it could work for me

for games, if any of those three elements isn't good enough for me, i'll probably avoid them because i think the story, voice acting, and characters are all important.
but for drama cds, i'll still give them a try as long as the characters and voice acting are good.

As long as the characters and voice acting are great, I don't mind if the story is a bit weak! I feel like compelling characters can easily make up for any flaws in the plot😭 But the characters are an absolute must for me—if they aren't charming, there's no real reason to play the game

I think I'd still give it a try if two of the three elements really appealed to me. I wouldn't want to miss out on a game I might end up loving just because one aspect wasn't quite my thing. Of course, if something was a complete dealbreaker for me, I might skip it. But if a character really caught my eye, I'd definitely want to play it! In fact, if the characters were exactly my type, I'd play it no matter what.

Hmm, bad acting can be turned off, so it's not a serious issue.

Bad characters I can bear, as long as it's only one or two of them. Just endure common route and the problem solved.

Bad story, on the other hand, is a reason to drop game entirely. No matter how much I like characters, if they are doing things I don't like, or the story is simply very boring, there is no reason to continue. Although I may forgive games where story is not important (e.g. "porn without plot" or short doujin games)

I don't mind if there's no voice acting in a game, but bad voice acting is hard to overlook, just like bad music. At least if there are options to turn those down, I'll use them. For CDs it's a bit more complicated of course since voice acting IS the point, but I listen to samples that are available before grabbing anything just to make sure I won't regret what I'm about to dive into.

The real interest killer for me is a story I'm not engaged with or characters that don't hook me in. The biggest crime a piece of media can commit in my opinion is to be boring. That being said, I'm still a victim of sunk cost fallacy, so I tend to try and finish things that I find boring. I'm slowly working on not doing that so often, though.

I think I can accept no voice acting or bad voice acting since I can just not listen, but if the story isn't engaging, I can't immerse myself, and if I don't like the characters, I have no motivation to continue. So if I had to make a choice, I believe the lack of voice acting wouldn't affect my willingness to try this work.

If it's audio drama, I don't mind about the character or story because I value voice acting instead... If it is about games I need all three of them~ I'm very greedy (≧∇≦)/

I don't really mind if there is no voice acting, but the other two are essential for maintaining my interes in a game. If the story is bad or the characters are boring I may drop the game

As long as the Character and Voice are top-tier, I'm still in! (〃▽〃) Great characters can easily carry a mediocre plot, but a bland character ruins everything

Hmm...I think maybe art is least then? because art can grow on you if Character/Story and Voice is Great! But voice is such a must! sometimes i find game like Makai Ouji to Miwaku no Nightmare; just came for switch ver; I LOVED synopsis/art!....but no voice! *sob* it takes the romance out for me.....

I believe that people buy and enjoy drama CDs primarily to hear the voice acting firsthand, so I want to prioritize that above all else. On the other hand, since there are so many generic stories and characters these days, it would be great if a work came out that could address all of these aspects.
