Do you prefer otome game with gameplay element or just text reading element only?

I prefer something that consists solely of text-based reading elements, like a visual novel.
I don't like when mini-games appear, as they tend to break my concentration. 😅
One additional feature I'd want to see is a text-skipping option (to skip text that has already been viewed).

I wish all otome game had gameplay. It would be so fun. As much as I love to read, I feel just straight up reading gets boring to me. I want action. Hence why Tokimeki Memorial Girl side would always be one of my absolute favorite otome game.

Depends on my mood! When I want to be immersed: text only + BGM + voice. When I want to be active: gameplay + romance = perfect combo ✨

I like it if there are gameplay elements but I'm also fine without, though the story should be delivering at that point

i love story games, so i'm more into otome games that are mostly just reading, or basically like a VNs lol.

I like both, but lately I've been playing nothing but visual novels.
I think visual novels are easy to play even when I don't have much time.

I prefer for vns to only have text. I really dislike having to complete mini games or when you have to go to the exact place at the right time to get an item or catch a certain character or whatever to be on their route like 7kpp, bewitching sinners or the royal alchemist bc then it is really difficult for me to get the good endings and then I need to resort to walkthroughs which then defeats the purpose of playing for me. So I really just prefer text only

Personally, I prefer pure visual novels.
The reason is that I'm not very good at action-oriented games; if the mini-games are too difficult, I end up feeling anxious. I'm just a bit clumsy, you see.

i feel mini game element in otome game can make the story more immersive too and it can be a good change of pace from all the reading, personally i would love they add a cooking, card game or something else that works to build a better connection/teamwork between Li and MC or connected to MC personal occupation, ex: if mc is a magician then we can have words to write the spell or upgrading our magic level. Amnesia or psychedelica of black butterfly have quite a good minigame for otome imo

Menurutku aku lebih suka game otome yang lebih fokus pada membaca cerita! Aku menikmati menyelami karakter dan alur cerita tanpa harus terlalu khawatir tentang gameplay. Tapi aku tidak keberatan dengan elemen gameplay selama itu tidak membuat pengalaman bermain terlalu rumit!
