For me, that's Taira no Tomomori from Genpei Hana Emaki. In the main route I cared for him; he's kinda unhinged, yet his backstory resonated with me and I hoped he'd get a happy ending with the heroine. Come the sequel, his jealousy and possessiveness do highlight how strong his feelings are, but they also shackle the heroine's freedom, and that rubbed me the wrong way. My fondness for him just faded.

Mine is Mozu from Bustafellows.

My memory is a bit hazy, but I remember his route in Bustafellows Season 2 made me frown and left me completely baffled. I think my brain just erased all the Season 2 routes from my mind because of it lol. I refuse to replay it!

But it's not that my fondness for him has faded... it's more like I'm holding onto him so hard in Season 1 that I refuse to acknowledge his route in Season 2 lol
