Do you listen to a drama CD for the voice actor or for the story?

I think both are important, but the story matters more to me. If one of my favorite voice actors is in the cast, I'll definitely be more excited to listen. However, if the story isn't good, I'll probably stop listening halfway, even if my favorite voice actor is in it.
 
The story is the main thing for me.
There are times when I want to listen because I like a particular voice actor, but generally, I listen because I like the work or because I'm interested in it.
Sometimes, I even discover and come to like a voice actor through their work!
 
Honestly, the voice actor is what usually reels me in first, but the story is what decides whether I actually finish or ever replay it. A top-tier seiyuu can carry a mediocre script surprisingly far with sheer voice acting skills and whispering techniques alone, but if the plot is just plain boring or poorly written, even my absolute favorite VA can't save it from being put down halfway through. So VA for the initial hook, but script for the replay value!
 
It's the va for me, because if there's a va that I don't particularly like I wouldn't be able to listen to them... (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)
 
When I first got into Drama CD, I didn't have a favorite voice actor, so I followed the stories I liked, but now I generally follow the voice actors I like! There are just so many works that if I bought them all, I'd go bankrupt 🥹So I tend to follow my favorite voice actors-> keywords, or content instead! 😆
 
Voice actor most of the time! I would listen to everything my favourite seiyuus make as much as possible just because of the their voice lol.(⁠´⁠ε⁠｀⁠ ⁠) Though I can't leave interesting story behind too.. So maybe it's both?
 
for me, the voice actor matters more than the story but that's because i haven't particularly came across a story that interested or stayed with me
i won't say no to an interesting synopsis tho :3c especially if it'll help me discover new voice actors i would end up becoming a fan of

I usually pick drama CDs based on my favorite VA most of the time. Once I have listened through most of their works, I browse through what's trending on the DL site or search by tags of my favorite genre.

Voice acting is important, but the story is even more important a new work by my favorite voice actor came out, but I skipped it because the story wasn't my type😢
 
One time for voice actor. One time for story. Repeats when voice and story peak.
 
I've acquired so many drama cds that sounded interesting (but, unfortunately, I have yet to listen to ANY of them). And I do like it if it's voiced by a seiyuu I love, so that's top priority. Then I go by the look of the character. I think understanding the story is not my main priority. I might understand the more I listen, but that's also how I am about Visual Novels xD
 
Well always for the story first, and then if the VA is one of my favorite or I like him then I buy it. I like very expressive characters and stories where the characters is desperate to have Y/n lol
