For me, it would definitely be the second option. The fact that LIs chose to leave and abandon me was too agonizing for me.

That's tough. I like the idea of choosing you over the world but at the same time, I can't imagine living in a world where there's nothing left. Realistically, I think I would choose the first option or else we'd have to live with alot of difficulties.

omg the type of character who would just let the world burn for you is defitinely so attractive and precious, and honestly i would grieve over the character that would just sacrifice themselves for the world t___t it is too cruel... but maybe sacrificing one live for many? but no, for me fuck the world i would prioritize my loved one

I'd choose the second one. Self-sacrifice is just too painful for me, especially when it means losing the person I love. I love characters with incredibly strong feelings who would choose me over everything else, so a character who would even give up the world for me is really appealing to me.

Hm... the second option is tempting, but if the world is good to us, I will likely feel guilty. Abandoning the world only feels right when we are being treated poorly.
But if he still chooses to sacrifice himself despite how badly he was treated, until I die, I won't let people forget his sacrifice. I will either become this world's protector or its next great threat.

I do love the second option too, but I also have a soft spot for the first one... 
The MC living on in a peaceful world that the LI saved, but without the LI there, quietly grieving and missing them... It would be such a heartbreaking story, and I feel like it would stay with me for a long, long time.
The LI probably made that ultimate sacrifice because they wanted the MC to be able to live on in a peaceful world... and that just makes it even more heartbreaking.

A character who abandons the world for you. I'm a sucker for characters who become the antihero or villain for the MC, and in the end it's just the two of them or a merry bad ending.

I made the same choice as you, giving up the world for you is really romantic. Even if the world doesn't work out, I think being with the one I love is the greatest happiness. If the male lead leaves you to save the world, I think I would be very sad and heartbroken. The greatest pain is when two people in love are separated.

For me, I would love Ls to destory the world to be with me. Like literally, the first option is way too sad for me. I read that one of the manhwa where Ls choose to go back to the world back to chaos because female lead died when the whole world was in peace. It was heartbreaking story to read. He sacrificed himself to save the world by killing female lead but he never obtain happiness at the end. Then he choose to return back to time just to be with female lead and lost all the memories.

My first instinct was still the second one. That kind of one-of-a-kind favoritism. But thinking about it again, I think the first one is good too, tragic aesthetics (o´Д`o)ノ.Both types are pretty obsessive characters.(ﾉ∇︎〃 )

Definitely the second option. If a character is willing to abandon the entire world just for me, how am I supposed to choose the first one?
I guess I have a weakness for extremely devoted characters. I really like it when someone who normally seems strong or independent ends up showing that the protagonist is the most important person to him. ෆ╹ .̮ ╹ෆ

I'd choose the one who abandons the world for me! I don't think I could say no to someone who supports me unconditionally and makes me feel like I'm truly important to them.
