As far as I know, is it frowned upon to use Korean on English-language websites?

I don't think that's the case. Sometimes knowing which country you're from helps me communicate with you more clearly. As multicultural as we are, we make an effort to accommodate everyone.

I have to be honest, I don't think that's safe to say what country you are from to anyone and to respect privacy.

I feel in game sites like these it's good to use Korean, a lot of people like korean games these days, so it would be nice to learn the language and develop some soft skills towards those that don't know it and vice versa if you don't know English.

Personally, I'd love to have a foreign friend, but I'm not good at English. ㅠㅅㅠ

I don't think it is not disrespect against users not using Korean. It is just being unable to understand what you're sayin'. There's nothing to be frustrated or frowned.

I ended up writing in Korean on an English-language site by accident, but fortunately, it seems everyone is taking it in stride, so I'm grateful.

I think it's sort of never wrong to be using a certain language on English-language websites, especially when it is community based because what's so bad about being inclusive of everyone's opinion even if they speak another language? It really comes down to jsut the content of what people are saying no matter what language they speak. Whether you speak japanese, korean, english, whatnot, we should all be respectful in a community space.
