Do you get FOMO easily?

For me, it entirely depends on the gaming content and personal preferences. Back then I used to be very updated and cleared all available stories, contents, missions, quests, and stages first hand when it got updated. But since I started my busy working life, my games are a little hard to keep up, not to mention I play STEAM games on PC as well......so I just relax myself, and now the "first hand" practice has subsided.

Yeah, definitely. I'll find a series that looks absolutely perfect for me, save it for when I have free time, and then completely forget about it the next day. And the cycle just keeps repeating.
 
Not really, and maybe it's because I don't usually engage in that part of social media where other otome game players talk about the new thing that released? so that's why I don't really get that fomo, just excitement from the announcement that something has released and that I can play it eventually
 
Not really. Aside from here, I don't participate in communities where lots of people discuss otome games (I do follow an otome game subreddit, but I haven't visited it in a long time). Since the atmosphere here is so chill, I don't really have that worry—plus, I like playing at my own pace ^^ But I did feel that way back when I didn't own a Nintendo Switch and saw people on Reddit interacting and talking about the games of the moment. One game I remember dying to play was Collar x Malice. Oh, and I felt the same way when Love and Deepspace came out and I couldn't play it XD I felt really left out seeing so many people enjoying it while I was just watching the announcements
 
I don't really feel that way.
I play what I want to play at my own pace.
 
YES i got FOMO easily omg, everytime my timeline hypes up a new game, series, or anime i just have the FOMO and would defitinely play the game or watch the series right away!
 
yeah i always need to have the new shiny thing but once i get it it goes to the bottom of my backlog and won't even play it in the near future. idk what it is i guess i'm easily swayed
 
Yeah, pretty easily sometimes, especially with otome games

If I see everyone talking about a game, a limited event, or a character I haven't played yet, I immediately get that feeling of Wait… am I missing out??

But I try not to let FOMO completely decide what I play. Sometimes I'll check out a game because of the hype, but if it doesn't actually interest me, I'm okay with skipping it.
 
yes but in the case of unable to find the lost media and just desperately trying to find it
 
Yes, idk how to explain but especially when everyone is MTLing a game.. My JP isn't good enough so I want to wait for the translation to experience it properly
 
not really, sometimes friends might talk me into playing a game, but in reality, it was already in my backlog or wishlist
 
Not really, at least not very often. 😂 It's pretty rare for a game to catch my attention enough from the beginning that I get serious FOMO about it. But when I find an otome I'm really, really excited about, then seeing everyone else play it and talk about it can definitely make me want to play it sooner.
