WinFF with an up to date FFMPEG installed
Handbreak will work as well
The best thing to have is a good graphics card, and run the compression off of the card instead of your cpu.
That said, if you're really patient, you can compress things to an absurd degree, it just takes a damn long time.
CPU compression, shittily ~45m per file
CPU Compression, done well ~2-3hrs per file
GPU Compression, done decently ~5-10m per file

My preset is:
-c:v av1_nvenc -preset p6 -tune hq -profile:v main10 -pix_fmt p010le -rc vbr -b:v 2500k -maxrate 4000k -bufsize 8000k -vf scale=w='min(1920,iw)':h='min(1080,ih)':force_original_aspect_ratio=decrease -c:a aac -ar 48000 -b:a 96k -movflags +faststart

It does require an nvidia card with up to date drivers though

Hi, can anyone help me with this artist, The Ghost of Aomori? I don't understand why it's so hard to find his most recent work; it's not easy to locate or obtain.

i use handbreak, but they only have 16:9 setting
if the video i compress is 4:3 or 21:9 its always get strech and it messup

this option exists since forever

Idk what config you do, but any video without standard 16:9 aspect ratio looks fine to me, no stretch, no strange bars.

Don't even think about it. Japanese law requires Japanese creators to censor/modify their works once they are published, regardless of whether the works are distributed within Japan or overseas. In the past, they apparently hadn't really enforced this requirement on works published outside Japan, but now they are starting to regulate that as well.

And when Fantia.jp previously demanded that certain works be censored, the changes they required were so unreasonable that it was impossible to see what they were even trying to accomplish. It caused a huge number of creators to consider leaving the platform, which scared them enough to quickly withdraw the requirement.

The only exception is if the creator does not live in Japan. In that case, they can make two different versions, because the applicable law is generally based on where the creator resides.
