What do you think about mobile otome games?Eg:Love And Deepspace, Mystic messenger etc.

I've played some mobile otome games, but I often end up dropping them halfway. but their continuous updates do keep bringing pleasant surprises from time to time

I still play LnD and L&N now, the story interesting and I like the game play but still I kinda bored cause main story just too long for update. And I'm not really like card's story even though it's hot haha. A long time before I played this game, I've played obey me, ToT, Love brush chronicle, etc. I never continued that game just uninstall and never redownload cause I'm getting bored and the story no more interesting for me andd it's takes a lot time for me to play it, I think I just washing my time for game, in real life there something more important for a better life 🤔. Other than that genius otome game more fit for me! It's not too long story but if you want premium choices you must buy diamonds or play mini game but still I like that game every new game releases, I played it. Oh and cause mobile gacha otome game story gave a very long update it's make me forget about the story when I'll read a new story. I just too lazy to reread the previous story 😪. I play PC too but I can't finish some otome game cause when I stick to my PC I can't stoped and time just flies so fast 😭. And yeah I still like otome game but must find the right time or manage time to play it. Sorry for my bad english :"

They have A LOT of potencial, I grew liking otomes bc of the ones I found at playstore, there are very good plots and characters but it can be easily ruined if the company becomes too greedy, a big problem for me is that you basically don't own them, they can quickly disappear :(

Not quite my cup of tea >.< Don't get me wrong they're good, but way too time-consuming with useless quests and a bit of a cash grab. Still play LADS occasionally though!

I like to play mobile otome games like TOT, Mystuc messenger and LADS because we can play it easily in the phone, so when I have spare time I can play it whenever I want. The daily grind usually don't take too much time and it helps a lot when I'm busy

i dont like mobile otome games because just like LADS they end up becoming predatory as it is not a one time payment like traditional otomes. Imagine paying just to unlock another option... or spending hundreds of dollars just to make your mc look pretty T-T. Not to mention the story is locked behind gacha... these games are weaponizing FOMO against players and since the story is dragged out just to make more money, the quality just keeps decreasing. Or so I've heard from LADs twt. The only mobile otome I play is MysMess as they donate their profits to women protection organizations :) and ToT because of Vyn and Marius but i dont like spending on otome gachas so im just a casual player in there.

I tried Mystic Messenger, was unimpressed by it and unwilling to incorporate it into my daily routine (yes, I know that is the point, I just didn't enjoy the chats themselves). As for Love and Deepspace, it doesn't appeal to me at all. Not a revenue model I'd like to support for videogames. And, like most gachas, it seems very fanservice-driven, as opposed to story-driven (my preference). I could be wrong, though.

I've try them several times, Mr Love: Queens Choice, Obey Me, Love and Deep Space, they're fun for a while but then I get kinda bored....it's the monotony of it, the constantly having to log in etc. I do get that you kinda still have they with Mystic Messenger, but (and it;s been a while since I played it). It had a plot and an ending, I want story that ends at some point I don't get that from the others.

I tried some mobile otome games. I really liked Mystic Messengers because it was the least money grabber. The idea of chats at random times during the day made feel like an actual chat but if I missed too many of them, I might not get enough affection and get a bad end. I could only play it if I have the time, otherwise needed hourglasses to participate in chats. Mobile otome games feels like there's alot of potential, but sooo many have micro transactions, making you pay for choices. Or buy "tickets" to read the next chapter unless you are willing to wait to unlock the next chapter which really ruins the experience. Even though mobile games are more convenient to bring around and to play whenever I want, it's not as good as traditional visual novels where I don't have any limitations.

I like to play mobile games. I played Mystic Messenger when it exploded 10 years ago (even bought the RFA VIP set, still have it). I'm also a LADS player who would spend in almost every banner. I have/had all Zayne, Sylus and Caleb cards. Would ignore some of Xavier and Rafayel cards, but I had basically all their multi cards because I like multi themes. This last Rafayel's myth was the first myth I ignored because of the boycott. Since the controversy, I don't know what will be of my future regarding the game. Truly considering to drop it... I'm hanging on the hope that Valko will return this month.

Aside those two I would play some Voltage games like Liar: Uncover the Truth (amazing game and I hope they port to PC/switch one day!), My Forged Wedding, Irresistible Mistakes, list goes on... Tried some Shall We Date but didn't get that hooked with them. I also would play a lot of joseimuke games in the past like IDOLiSH7, Ensemble Stars, Yumeiro Cast, B-project, Tsukipara, I-chu... I'm a huge fan of rhythm games and would try all of them, even if my Japanese skills aren't that good XD

I don't mind mobile games. I play them casually though since nowadays many of them are leaning towards the live service gacha model which can be hard to keep up with and over time can get really expensive if you want to get every single story. It would be nice if there was a more even split between gacha otome, buy per route games like the old Voltage Inc. apps, and something f2p-friendly like Mystic Messenger where you could basically read the entire thing for free if you farmed hourglasses but had the option of paying to unlock things faster or pay for the extra voice acting in the phone calls. That way, more people would be willing to give some of these games a chance. I don't necessarily agree with the over-generalization of "all mobile games are shitty and cashgrabs". Some definitely do fit the description, but there are some hidden gems out there too waiting to be discovered.

I like the idea of them, having constant drips of content for your favorite love interests is nice, but I prefer vns/other games with romance over them simply because im not a fan of the predatory practices many of them use. Obviously not all of them do that, and many are generous with their currency gain/time management, but as someone who has an addictive personality (pulling is such a dopamine hit lol) I just can't take that risk. Also have a beginning, middle and ending to their stories without fear of the game eosing is nice.

When I started the game come out it was like teenager. Its been like decade for me. It was fun texting each other but I never completed the story. Phone calling is fun too, it was stimulating online dating. In my thoughts, I was sad that I do not have ability to purchase the game inclusive pack to get more packs. So I stop playing it and never completed the story. Then, as I attended the college I gain a bit of money from working. So, I restart playing again and completed all the story for each route. It was like teenagers app that everyone have in the school.

I don't really like mobile - it's so fleeting. The company may quit or go bankrupt and the game disappears completely.

I've played quite a few mobile games, but I don't really play mobile otome games because I want an immersive, complete story.

I have experiences with Ikemen series, Love & Deepspace, and I also follow a few otome games like Love & Producer and Light & Night. I'd say...all the games mentioned above have the same issue, which is the games only give limited resources for players. I'm not the type to spend money in mobile games, do I'd say my experiences with mobile otome games are just.....limited

I think mobile otome games are really good at making the romance feel more continuous and personal compared with traditional console/PC otome.

For example, Mystic Messenger does this incredibly well because the chat rooms, calls, messages, and real-time schedule make it feel like the characters actually exist outside the game. And Love and Deepspace takes a different approach with its 3D presentation, voice acting, animations, and relationship-building.

That said, I think mobile otome has a few downsides too. The gacha system can sometimes interfere with the romance/story, especially when important character moments are tied to limited cards. There can also be a lot of grinding or daily tasks that make the experience feel more like a live-service game than a traditional otome.

I don't dislike mobile games, but they generally have pretty shallow plots. Because they're far more accessible than console or PC games, they attract a wider audience, which unfortunately leads some people to judge the entire otome genre based on just a few mobile titles.

Personally, I often play games by Cybird. Their art style and storylines are right up my alley, even though the event stories do become a bit lackluster over time.

At first, I quite liked Love and Deepspace, though I never actually played it myself—I only watched videos of others playing. Eventually, I lost interest; I felt the developers' monetization methods were rather predatory, and there was a lot of drama surrounding the game.

As for Mystic Messenger, I played through a few character routes about nine years ago. I really enjoyed the gameplay and the storyline. However, I stopped playing because I became too busy with my studies, so I'm not sure how the game has evolved since then.

I also played Obey Me about four years ago and really liked it, but after two years, it started to feel repetitive; the gameplay didn't offer enough innovation to keep me engaged.

I feel like mobile otome games can be pretty much some hit or miss...

I really enjoyed playing Mystic Messenger because all characters looked interesting, the way it was played as if you were actually in a chat room was so intesting, and it was appropriate for the mobile format. And the plot was very immersive too! (The only thing that I didn't enjoy was waking up at 3am to not miss the chat interaction.)

I tried playing Love and Deepspace, but I felt like that story didn't hold my attention, I felt like they stopped updating and didn't add meaningful content. Even if there was just a few characters, I felt that they didn't appear nearly enough I thought they would. I felt like they started to prioritize too much the gacha aspect to get a few extra side stories, intead of focusing a little more in the main storyline for me to actually care.

I played a few others, but I was not too big of a fan of having to see a lot of ads to go to the next story chapter or get items to unlock actual good dialog options...

I think the one I enjoyed a little bit to play casually is Mahoutsukai no Yakusoku, but it is only in JP. The story is very cute and entertaining.

But I think I still prefer to buy a full game with finished storyline to play.
