I'm honestly not that picky when it comes to otome CDs, but I always find myself gravitating toward host and Japanese idol-themed ones. 😭
The host/hime dynamic is just so good, especially when the listener slowly becomes the only person the host ends up completely obsessed with. That trope gets me every time. I also really like idol and underground idol settings. It's always fun when the CDs mention actual fan culture, like handshake or high-touch events, because it makes the whole setting feel more authentic. Plus, it makes the secret relationship angle feel even more exciting somehow.

E.g. themes like menhera, mystery, yakuza, streamer, fantasy like vampire or non-human(獣人, 人外), ex-boyfriend, slice of life and more

I love crime/investigation themes, especially when MC is a detective or officer!! I like how theres an actual storyline with action scenes and then some romance on the side. The classic example is Rouge et noir, but i also love bloody escape. I absolutely eat up the concept of MC being a detective/officer and investigating a potential criminal who is actually the LI.. omg the angst and tension is insanee

I like unhinged and bizarre plots that make my jaw drop. Im not quite sure what genre stories like this goes to, since they can fit into so many categories. But ive noticed that lately some circles have been slowly creating more stories with a summer setting mixed with a horror vibe.

I recently quite like this kinda stories because of how they just throw a plot twist in the middle/end of the track and i just like "What the heck just happened?!" 😂

oh i like that theme too! other theme i prefer such as ✨vampire✨, youkai or other non human being and co-dependency theme (the one who cant live without the mc aka listener)

My favourite themes vary depending on the voice actor, but I particularly like themes such as master-servant relationships and younger childhood friends.

A different world, an outsider (vampires, beastmen, gods, etc.) in another era... I like the extraordinary feeling that is absolutely impossible😊✨

But I also want to listen to the daily life of ordinary couples and boyfriends lol

I'm pretty basic on this..but it usually depends on the seiyuu..i really love cds with heavy lores or just mystery and crime type !! Like rouge et noir buddy or love death ! But i also really love the lovely dovely pretty simple ones !! Around a childhood friend in highschool or college/work ( i basically love everything that isnt yanderes )

I enjoy a series where the characters interact with each other. interact, for example rouge et noir, Yotsunagi...
I find it interesting to see what each character thinks of the others. And they can reveal sides of their personalities that wouldn't appear when they're only talking to the mc
 
I enjoy horror tags actually, it gives me kind of guilty pleasure vibe haha But I also love to hear slice of life theme! What really matters is how good the seiyuu acts
 
Most of the drama CDs I listen to are sweet, pure love stories. I tend to lean toward male submissive tropes?! I also like ABO and non-human (monster/alien) settings.

Do you have any recommendations of bizarre plots but not horror? Or do you mean horror 😂 🙈

I'm too much of a wimp, but maybe do very light horror?

Generally, I like when the guy and girl start off as rivals or exes.
 
I've always been a fan of any kind of fantasy/historic fantasy (vampires, beastmen, magic, etc) things like Shinsengumi Gyoufu-roku Wasurenagusa or Bloody Ending seires.
I'm generally not too picky but I always enjoy a little angst in my dramas too
